Beacon House is hiring a Grade 12 Graduate from the class of 2018, who is continuing their studies in the Fall.

Overview:

This is a summer program that runs from the end of June until the end of August 2018. All resumes should be received at Beacon House no later than June 16th, 2018.

The position is open to a graduating student who has completed high school in June 2018.

The student must be registered and has been accepted to either a University, Community College or some other accredited post high school educational program.

The successful candidate will be hired to work a 35 hour week and will be paid minimum wage as indicated by resident

Province. 

The role at the Beacon House will include the following duties:

Note: This includes Retail Store and Food Bank. 

Duties will be assigned and split as required. 

Retail Store - working on cash, merchandising the sales floor, assisting with sorting in the back shop area and providing customer service.

Working with the Retail Manager in any special projects that need to be completed on a time line and assisting volunteers. 

Food Bank: This will include working in a client interview office, in taking clients as they arrive, replenishing food shelves, helping to receive orders, bagging some bulk items when needed and assisting Food Bank coordinator. 

At Beacon House we are mainly supported by a volunteer staff, it is important that the summer student is able to interact and assist the staff in accordance with the coordinators instruction.
